cause everyone needs a long dress

This is what I wore last Friday to work and while it was completely unprofessional I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I love maxi dresses for their ease of movement and how, when combined with a flattering empire waist, I can feel both tall and thin.

This is the picture of me spending my lunch break NOT at the gym. Ahhh elation.

OOO! I love that look, I need a maxi for the summer. Have you seen any good ones in the stores?

Hmm I haven't been in NY&Co this season yet but I did get this great new one from Marshalls. I say try that or TJ Maxx because all the F21 ones seem to have this weird ruffled hem on the bottom.

Yeah, see, they just make me feel short. Because they're always many inches too long on me. >_<

But you look pretty!! <3

Well Makiko a LOT of things are too long for you, lol. There's this little thing called hemming...

yeah.... but it better be a REALLY cute dress to be worth paying as much to hem as I did for the dress. And the problem is that with most of the patterning if I chop off the bottom the coolest part o the pattern dies. And that's just sad.

Hahaha well every maxi dress I own can be hemmed with no problem. Even the patterned one you see here wouldn't be affected. I think it's just picking the right kind of maxi.

I mean if you had your heart set on owning one that is.
