Please ignore the very subpar application. Focus more on how pretty and shiny it is, please?

If you want to get this look yourself here are the products I used:

essie first base base coat ~ L.A. Girls Calcium Builder ~ American Apparel Nail Lacquer in Mouse ~ Orly nail polish in Wandering Vine ~ L.A. Girls Diamond Top Coat

I'm not sure if it's the actual colored polish itself, but the last time I did my nails with these bases and an American Apparel creme it lasted almost a full 2 weeks without chipping. The only wear I saw was at the base of my nails where I was growing it out. Growing it out! I haven't done that in forever because most of my nail polishes either show tip wear or a chip in a day or two. I used one thin coat of the Essie followed by one thin coat of the calcium builder. I let everything dry and then do two thin coats of color and then one final coat of the top coat.

(Oh and I got the L.A. Girls products from a beauty supply store in Wheaton - I'm not sure where else you can get it. Sorry!)
