Via Spiga
do you see what I see?
Wednesday, September 18, 2019 • Aldo, Free People, NY&Co, NYandCo, OOTD, Urban Outfitters, Via Spiga
I feel like it's a rare moment these days for me to fall in love with a print - let alone fall in love with onw enough to acknowledge its place in my increasingly more neutral and solid wardrobe. But this N&Co dress got me, with its ridiculously bright Versace inspired print that made me think of both 90s AND 70s. I'm not going to say this dress is gonna be in my wardrobe for years and years, but I definitely have the feeling that I'm going to enjoy every outing in it while I can.

spring feelings

I am unequivocally living for these cool Spring mornings.Yeah it's inching into the 80's by the afternoon but sunshine, open windows, and sunsets closer to 8pm - it's all worth it.
My itchy eyes and pressure filled sinuses might disagree but WE'LL JUST IGNORE THAT.

My Time
Tuesday, August 21, 2018 • Bulletin, Gap, LOFT, Missoma, Neiman Marcus Last Call, OOTD, Via Spiga
Really this outfit started with the shirt. A shirt I immediately needed to have as soon as I saw it in Bulletin, so I'm sorry it took me so long to feature it here.
I think a lot of our lives could be improved by "reclaiming our time" though I'm not particularly good at it myself. Maybe I could add it to "give less f*cks" and keep my fingers crossed that I get better at both.

While in my hearts of hearts I really wanted a black utility jumpsuit a la The Anna Edit, not only are options slim in that style on this side of the pond, they're even MORE slim in my size range. Poop.
I persevered in the sense that I continued to try on the style when I come across it despite the variations from my original goal, which in the end proved to be the best way to go about the whole thing, since I fell in love with this one from Madewell. It's perfect for Spring and I've paired it with a bunch of different shoes and earrings, which is ideal for me. Will the fabric be too heavy for Summer? Unknown really, though at the very least it'll continue to deal well when I wear it to work.
And hey, it's the return of curly hair!

keeping your closet fresh: dresses part I
Friday, April 26, 2013 • ASOS, DSW, Forever21, OOTD, Via Spiga
I'm trying something a little new here and showcasing a dress in two ways - the first as a simple staple and the next jazzed up with different accessories. Both are good ways to remind myself that what I have in my closet is fantastic in and of itself and should be worn more often. (Though I admit this dress doesn't see the light of day mostly because I have to feel thin enough to wear it, lol.)
Comfy jersey knit clings EVERYWHERE and let no one try to convince you of anything different. Wear appropriate undergarments people, it is not an option.

(Though since it was quite a bit chillier over the weekend I'm not sure how much more bare leg you'll be seeing!)
