Debuted at DragonCon 2013, I wore this with sneakers at the convention because honestly I would have killed myself otherwise. I managed to fumble around in the parking garage behind my apartment but make no mistake: I am not a professional skater and these pictures make me look much better than I am.
I love this costume because not only is it a take on a woman and character I admire but it incorporates another badass sport I'll never be able to do, roller derby. Throw in the fact that it's also a geeky homage and I think we can all agree that despite the cold risk it's a costume worth the commitment.
Don't forget to check the link up on Gyspy in Jasper for other great looks (& perhaps future Halloween inspiration?)!
Yes!!! You look amazing in this. And good on ya for toughing out the skates and the cold. You are one brave lady.
(Small piece of advice: take the skates off before you start drinking tonight!)
Thanks again for linking up!!
@Nicole - Oh there is NO WAY I'd venture out in skates in DC. I made it down the elevator at DragonCon before I came to my senses and sneakers are definitely the way to go! LOL!
Great costume! looks like a lot of fun! Happy Halloween!
You look amazing in this outfit. It's so good to see your beautiful face in this post. . . .
What a bad ass costume- I love it! I don't think I even remember how to skate at all :)
Happy Halloween, Dana and all your readers! ;) You look super cute in this costume! Have you ever thought to incorporate such a spicy style into your daily life? Could be really cool!
I love roller derby! Wish I was tough enough to try it, but watching will suffice. :) great costume!
